"The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bug house or Declaration of Independence frame kit.The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment.
Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children. In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin."
Plus it's FREE, FREE, FREE! Tomorrow's project is a Bean Bag Toss. :)
They also have many more free workshops for adults such as Interior Painting, Tiling Floors & Walls, Insulation, and Fall Planting. If you sign up for the Home Improver Club you'll receive workshop schedules & registration via e-mail.
Plus they also have the Do-It-Herself workshops. This month's workshop is "Kitchen Updates". If you're interested, check out the link below.
Anyone planning on going to the Kids Workshop tomorrow in Wylie???? We are, see you there! :)

I had no idea home depot did that! Thanks. I think I could benefit from the kid classes also :-)
Yeah, we're not real handy around the house (although we really do try!!) so the kids workshops are just our speed. :) I'd love to do the the ladies kitchen one, but don't think I'm ready for that! Haha.
Next month is a firetruck bank, and Home Depot is also having the local FD out, etc. :) Last year the kids got to "drive" the firetrucks, it was a blast.
