So, it pays to read your rebate before shopping! Anyway, that will leave me with a grand total of $3.27 in cash spent and a total of $68.03 saved. Also, I ended up with $5.98 in ECB, and that's just a $.02 loss. All in all, an awesome week for me at CVS!

Total cash OOP (out of pocket) = $.68 and SAVED $45.65. I also got back $6.00 in ECB ($3.00 Skippy/Ragu, $2.00 Crest and $1.00 Duracell).

I had this worked out at home with only 2 packs of gum, but the cashier took off the non-sale price for the Herbal Essences ($4.39 instead of $2.88) and she did the same thing with the Trident coupon ($1.50 off instead of $1.00). I didn't figure it out what happened until I got home, but she had me throw 2 more of the gums in to keep me from losing money and make up for the "extra" $2.01 she took off. I had another B1G1 free Trident coupon, but knew it would throw us back into the whole as far as the total so I left it as is. I also "lost" $3.99 in Extra Care Bucks, but that part was planned.

I had an outstanding trip to Kroger yesterday. The 10 item Mega Event is going on right now and I walked away with lots of freebies! Here's a few of my highlights:

After all was said and done, I purchased 61 items yesterday. I saved $72.16 and only spent $35.16. I couldn't have done it without my coupon binder. I typically work on it for about an hour once a week, clipping and filing. Then once I'm ready to go shopping I spend another 20 minutes or so making my list and pulling out the coupons I'll need. So, the question is, is it worth an hour and a half of your time to save $72.16? YES!

Remember to purchase and donate the items you might not use! This week's prices are good until November 10th...and I found another tuna coupon at the bottom of my purse (not very organized of me, I know!). Since I still have 3 or 4 more evaporated milk coupons so I might run in for one more Mega Event transaction tomorrow when I'm in the area. I go to the Sachse, Texas Kroger since they double and triple coupons.

I made a small Extra Care Buck profit of $1.49 ($9.99 made minus $8.50 used) combined with the $1.07 in cash spent and I "made" $.42 buying the milk I needed. On the other hand, I did not need any more cereal. But, I went ahead and got it since the Girls Scouts are "trick or treating" tonight for canned goods and toiletries. I have a huge bag of ready for them (cereal, pop-tarts, razors, deodorant, mac-n-cheese...). Plus ther was a profit that I couldn't pass up. :)

Now, I have $5 in ECB from last months trip that still need to be spent (ASAP), and the $9.99 from this trip.

I got back $13 in ECB ($7 lotion, $5 razor, $1 gum) so that's a $3 Extra Care Buck "profit" (I spent $10 in ECB). Overall, that's $.39 for the trip and I saved $25.60.

I think I'll sell the razor. It was a tool to use my $20 coupon and if make anything more than $.39 on it, that's a profit for the trip. I actually think I'll just list it to my store for $7 or $8 with free shipping. The Reese's are perfect for Halloween or a donation to a fall festival (ditto for the gum), hopefully I don't eat them first, if they were Reese's Piece they wouldn't have even made it home! :)

$1.73 Spent OOP On My Rainy Day CVS Trip

This was another one of those weeks where I fell in love with CVS all over again. I got lots of goodies on the cheap. On a side note, it's been raining here in Dallas since last Thursday. I've already dumped 16" of rain from the rain gauge since then. So, on the way out of CVS my son jumped in a huge puddle soaking himself head to toe....good times! :)

On a side note, I also ran to Super Target last night. I just wasn't feeling the Target picture. Anyone really want to see them??? Anyway, I scoped out the weekly deals at Attention Target Shoppers before I left and saved $48.17 and only spent $30.73 cash out of pocket. Some super cool highlights: I got 4 more boxes of FREE Pop-tarts and 3 FREE Soy Glade candles and $1.89 cat food and $.79 Tide Stain Release (which is AWESOME!!!!!).

I made another small profit at CVS this week. This is my second week in a row with a profit and my third in a row with under $3 spent out of pocket.

Total cash OOP $2.44. I got back $12.99 in ECB and saved 30.49. I made an Extra Care Buck (ECB) profit of $3.00 and with the $2.44 in cash I spent, I had an overall "profit" of $.56. Woot!

The clearance Wyler's Light packets made the perfect filler at 9 cents a piece!! I had planned on getting the Sharpie highlighters (free with a coupon) but they were out and I was a $.24 shy of $25. Remember the $25 total needed does not include tax, so it's best to have a plan "B" or "C" in mind if you're trying to use a $5/$25 coupon. Sometimes (usually) something is out of stock.

Also.....I wanted to mention the Revlon make-up. I was lucky that they were hidden in my store and I found my shade. If not, I would have still bought some and sold it on eBay. It runs, $14.99 regular price and was on sale for $9.99. I actually "made" $1 on it since I used a coupon and it was free with ECB. It's a super tiny bottle, and it might cost about $1.50 to ship. So, if I were to sell it, I would maybe sell it for $9.99 with free shipping. Just an idea! :)

Saving At Target With The "New Store Specials" & Kellogg's Rebate

I just can't help myself. Target is so close, so I ran in last night for some groceries. I also decided to shop for the Kellogg's $10 rebate while I was there. It was in the paper last week. You need to purchase 10 Kellogg's or Sunshine products in one transaction.

A Quick Run Into Walmart For Wipes & Free Chocolate

I had an eye appointment this morning and ran into the store while I was there. Yes, I see the guy inside Walmart. It's actually the best eye care I've had in ages and I've been wearing glasses 18 years now. Anyway, I also got free chocolate and super cheap Huggies wipes!

The wipes were $.22 each (plus sales tax), the Mars chocolate was FREE and I saved $19.00 with the coupons. I'll admit, I got the trip idea last week from The Thrifty Mommy. I went ahead and got the trip ready (list made, coupons paper clipped to list) and kept it in my purse. I figured I'd be in the neighborhood sometime soon.

Even if you don't have little kids, wipes are a great thing for everyone to keep in the car. You can use them cleaning up spills (coffee, soda) or for cleaning your hands before and after meals "on the go". Keeping the pack inside a plastic zipper bag will keep them moist in the pack longer. A good tip in the Texas summer heat.

Thanks to my mom and step-mom for their extra coupons! I would never have an overstock of freebies without you!!

I REALLY wanted the $3 profit from the Blink eye drops (with coupon from Sunday) and the Electrasol, but again I missed out since I didn't head to CVS first thing Sunday morning. I guess it wasn't meant to be for me.

This week I had $5 in Extra Care Bucks burning a hole in my pocket as well as the $10 in ECB I made from the CVS panel I'm on. I decided to do the Olay deal (spend $20, get $10 ECB), because I'm also going to do the $20 Olay Rebate from Olay.com. I noticed the rebate while clipping my coupons. :)

The 10 Item Mega Event At Kroger - July 16th

Thursday is my favorite day to grocery shop. I like it because the new ad came out yesterday, and I've had plenty of time to clip and organize my coupons from Sunday. Plus, it's still mid-week and not very crowded. This week at Kroger there is a 10 item Mega Event, purchase 10 participating items and get $5 off. I did this twice, and yes, you can mix and match items. Pictured is what I got at Kroger this morning.

I'm Such A Lazy Shopper!

Other than a trip to Sprouts, it had been 2 weeks since I grocery shopped. I mainly just needed dairy and some chips/snacks. We have a stocked pantry and freezer otherwise!! I headed to Alberstons yesterday morning, before the ad arrived at the house, so I had to just wing it this trip.

I spent $29.39 and saved $23.45.

This week at Albertsons Kraft Cheese is 5/$10 ($2 each). Now this wasn't tagged of course, but here's there catalina deal:

Buy 3 (6 oz or larger) Kraft Cheeses and get $2.00 off your next order (oyno, or a catalina)
Buy 4 get a $3.00 catalina
Buy 5 or more get a $4.00 catalina

I was bummed this wasn't tagged in the store since I bought 2 Kraft Cheeses. I would have got at least one more, darn it! This deal runs 6/19 until 7/12.

I also saw catalina tags on Jello Pudding 6 packs, buy 2 get a $1.00.

Another deal, I used my 2 Kool-Aid/Sugar coupons from a few weeks back. Kool-Aid is priced at Albertsons 8/$1.00 ($.12 each). So I purchased 20 packets and 2 C&H sugars at $2.19 each. That's $6.78 for Kool-Aid and sugar. But I used the 2 $2.00 off sugar coupons plus 2 $.35 off C&H sugar coupons that were tripled...calculator sounds......okay, that $.68 total for 20 packets of Kool-Aid and two 4 pound bags of C&H. But wait, there's more!! I'll list the Kool-Aid on eBay (to sell internationally most likely) and make about $10 back. So, free sugar plus a small profit! :)

For example, here's an eBay listing that has ended, 50 Kool-Aid packets sold for $24.95! Which is amout right, $.50 a packet on eBay.
