Homescan Consumer Panel Still Needs Members
Some areas of the country have enough panelists, and you may receive a do not qualify message based on your zip code. If so, check back in a few months and a spot might free up. That's how I got on. Also, you can also stop your participation at any time, and they will pay to have the equipment mailed back. It's totally worth a shot if you have a few minutes to spare after each shopping trip.
To check out the Nielsen’s Homescan Consumer Panel click the banner below. Good luck!

A Day In The Life Of Wylie Mom
After lunch we ran to Kroger. I haven't been to poor Kroger since Target opened, but I needed to get my 2 free packs of Fruit 2 Day. I'm trying it out and spreading the word for BzzAgent. BzzAgent is FREE to join. I also wanted to use my coupon for FREE Fiber One bars that Kroger mailed me. I got bread, milk, etc. I spent $20.75 and saved $21.81. Oh, and no, I didn't go to Kroger on Saturday. Hubby had to work and I knew it would be a mad house. It's hard to watch the register with kids in tow. :)
I also picked up some Activia yogurt at Kroger yesterday. It was $1.88 minus a $1.00 newspaper coupon so I paid $.88. Now, I'll mail in the Activia UPC & Kroger receipt in and will get a coupon for a FREE YoPlus yogurt back. The Yoplait YoPlus rebate form is here.
**Tip** Do rebates right away before the necessary pieces get lost, thrown away or you forget.
As a treat on the way home we went to Sonic. No, not very frugal, but I did wait until 1/2 Price Happy Hour between 2-4. Since I spent $2.13, that means I saved $2.13. But, since I've made that much watching ads at YouData the past couple of weeks, it all evens out (I have an odd way of seeing thing, I know!).
When we got home the mail had arrived and I received:
One $2.50 and three $1.50 Bounce Bar coupons from VocalPoint. It's FREE to join.
$5/$50 Home Depot coupon from the Home Depot Garden Club. Also FREE to join.
Remedy health magazine, FREE to request.
Speaking of magazines, I requested the following magazines for FREE yesterday. Remember magazines are great for reading, donating or selling.
Free 1 year subscription to Forbes Magazine or Muscle & Fitness.
Free 1 Year subscription to Viva Magazine.
For more free magazine deals (lots and lots), check out My Savings. I requested a free Vibe subscription thanks to them last week.

Lastly, have you checked out Nielsen Homescan yet?

Yes, Surveys Can Be Worth Your Time!

There are a lot of survey sites out there to choose from. Since everyone is differnet, there's no telling which ones you'll prefer. I suggest signing up for a few at a time. Try them out for a few days/weeks, and drop the ones you don't like. Maybe add another, if you find the time. Also, I would suggest maintaining a new and seperate e-mail address just for your surveys.
Here are some things I look for in surveys (and survey sites) :
1. How many surveys do they e-mail a day? I'd like to see 1 to 4 surveys a day, depenidng on quailty.
2. How long does the survey take? It's a survey of my opinion, not a college entrance exam! You'll have to pay me pretty well to care for more than 20 minutes.
3. How much does it pay? Some places pay in cash and others in points. Points are fine, as long as they can be exchanged for cash. Time is money! Is your time worth $.50 for 20 minutes? No. Is your time worht $5 for 15 minutes? Yes.
Don't forget about the product trials!! Since I started the survey scene about a year ago, I have gotten to try and keep: Samsung Glyde phone, 5 cologne samples, sunscreen, cake mix w/ frosting, another dessert mix, shampoo, plus more. That's in addition to the few $$ they paid for my opinion as well. :)
Here are my favorite survey sites:
SurveySpot - 1 to 6 e-mails a day, but has a fair amout of $2-5 surveys and has awesome random product trials! Pays out via check and will be moving to PayPal next month which will be great. I requested a $7 check this morning. :)
Synovate Gobal Opinion Panels - 2 to 6 surveys a week and pays in points (1000 points = $1). Most surveys pay low for just a few minutes, but there will be one "awesome" survey that comes along every few weeks. Frequent product trials!! I cashed out a $10 check this morning, but had to leave a small balance. Requests can only be made in increments of $5.
InboxDollars - Today was my first time to cash out since you need $30 to request a check! I had to pay a $3 check processing fee which I then earned right back (for next time). I usually just read the e-mails and do the cash offers with this one, and I requested $30.10 today (that's after the $3 fee, haha). All offers pay out cash (no points), and you can earn for online shopping as well.
MyPoints - A lot like InboxDollars, but I don't do the surveys here. At MyPoints, you earn points reading e-mails, shopping and doing surveys (surveys pay low). I just answer the e-mails and earn points for filling out my Bzzz reports for BzzAgent. BzzAgent sends you new products to try and spread the "bzzz" about. You're rewarded with points at MyPoints. It's a win-win as far as my MyPoints account.
Have a great survey site that I didn't mention? Just leave a comment to this post. Thanks!

$52.54 Worth Of Free Stuff In The Mail

From Bzz Agent I received: A 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara (I love 2000 Calorie mascara and can't wait to try this!!!!), 2 Vivid Impact Lipcolors and a copy of D Beauty (D as in Dallas). Total value $30.59. Oh, and there were three $2.00 off Max factor coupons.
I talked a bit about BzzAgent here in this post. It's so much fun!!
From Mom Select I received: (2) 10 Ct. Packets of Florastor Kids. Florastor Kids is a probiotic. Total Value $21.95.
What's a probiotic you ask? According to the Florastor website, "Probiotics help the good organisms in your body to grow and protect your intestines against "bad" organisms that can make you unwell. Florastor Kids helps maintain the normal balance of microorganisms in the gut."
We'll see what the kids think! I will probably do a giveaway for the second 10 ct. box. Keep an eye out!
I also have 2 nice mailing boxes for eBay, so it's a win/win to try new products!!!! Join panels and marketing programs when you run across them. Later when they send you an offer, it's up to you to accept. You can only pick things that interest you! Have any fun panels to share? Leave me a comment! Thanks!

Just A Few Places For Extra Bucks

Shop At Home also pays out $5 to sign up!! You can't beat free money. I ran across Shop At Home while I was looking a today's offer from Dollar Surveys.
I'm giving Dollar Surverys a trial run. It's a bit different, as you can't log into your account to see how much money you have pending, but it says it pays out weekly to your PayPal account. I figure not much time will be wasted giving this survey place a shot. Anyone, else tried Dollar Surveys?
Back to the cash back rebate programs. I was ordering some (free) note cards from Shutterfly this afternoon, and it honestly took only 45-60 seconds to check all 3 sites (Big Crumbs, Ebates and Shop At Home) to see who paid the highest percentage back. In this case it was Ebates. If you need to do some online shopping, be sure you're getting cash back to shop!
P.S. Here's an older post about online shopping and cash back rebates.

Extra Cash With Online Surveys

One of the first places I signed up a few months back was Survey Spot. Since that time I have received $22 in "cash", a cake mix with frosting to try and a handheld electronic device valued at over $250 to try and keep!!!
I will admit that I'm picky about which surveys I fill out. I tend to pick $$ only surveys if available. Some sites pay out only in points that you can convert to cash and gift cards. In that case I look for high point surveys. I have also found that setting up a new e-mail account for surveys only really helped me out. This way, during the evenings or nap time if I have a few moments, all my available surveys are in one spot and I'm not sorting through my inbox looking for them.
I've found two fellow bloggers with great lists of paid survey sites. Try Homemaker Barbi's list or Money Saving Methods' list. You may need to try out a few before you settle on some that you like....but a separate e-mail box is key!!
Another fun and easy way to make a little money is

What are your favorite survey site????
