Saving At Target With The "New Store Specials" & Kellogg's Rebate

I just can't help myself. Target is so close, so I ran in last night for some groceries. I also decided to shop for the Kellogg's $10 rebate while I was there. It was in the paper last week. You need to purchase 10 Kellogg's or Sunshine products in one transaction.

Kellogg's details:

4 Pop Tarts (new store special) $1.52 each - $.75 Target Printable - $1.00/2 newspaper coupon = $.27 each

2 Eggos $1.79 each - $1.00/2 newspaper coupon = $1.29 each

2 Fruit Snacks $1.75 each - $1.00/2 newspaper coupon = $1.25 each

1 Whole Grain Cheez-It $2.99 - $.75 Whole Grain Cheez-It printable coupon = $2.24

Cocoa Krispies $3.29 - Free Rice Krispies coupon from Vocalpoint (it's FREE to join!) = FREE

I spent $8.40 for the Kellogg's stuff and will get $10.00 back for the rebate. That's a $1.60 profit. Yay! Overall I spent $37.98 cash OOP, or $27.98 after rebate and I saved 42.50 with my coupons (52.50 if you want to count the rebate).

Other "New Store Specials" I liked:

Bagel Bites new store special $3.49 - $2.00 mailed Target coupon = $1.49
Market Pantry Cheese $1.49
Market Pantry Granola Bars(chocolate chip only) $1.25 - $1.00/2 register coupon = $.74 each
Baby Carrots $.79 (something for all the ranch dressing we have)
Tostitos $1.75 - $1.00/2 mailed Target coupon = $1.25 each
Milk $1.99 (I hope it stays this low!!)

The past two trips I have received a $1.00/2 Market Pantry coupon, but nothing came out for me this trip. Then, on the way out my daughter found a $1.00 off Archer Farms coupon on the ground. Coupon karma must be looking out for me. I'm lovin' the new Wylie Super Target!

P.S. Be sure to check out Ginger at Attention Target Shoppers!

Fun Free Stuff In Today's Mail

I had an array of fun things come in the mail today. I'll start with the two samples.

The Huggies diaper sample I requested here came. I ordered the newborn size and they are perfect for my daughter's dolls! Also included was a plastic Huggies "zipper" bag and a $3.00 coupon.

The Juicy Juice sports bottle also came, I requested it here and gave it to my son for soccer class. He was so excited!! So, it looks like each kiddo got a present today...and they were FREE!

Today's redplum with all the "junk" flyers had a few good coupons you may want to look for.

-$3.00 off Venus Spa Breeze
-B1G1 Free Satin Care Shave Gel
-$3.00 off Gillette Fusion
-B1G1 Free Gillette Series Shave Gel
-$1.50 off Excedrin 100 ct. Back & Body

Dillard's sent me 4 coupons for FREE shipping, 4 coupons for FREE gift wrapping and a very small almost to be missed card for a free magazine subscription. I can pick from Glamour, Vogue, GQ, Teen Vogue or Lucky. Remember last week I made $.50 a magazine selling them at Half Price Books. So it's like Dillard's sent me $6 in the mail, or at least that's the way I see it. :)

Lastly, I received two $5/$50 coupons from The Home Depot Garden Club.

Did you get anything fun? Let me know!

Gum Stock-Up At Walmart This Morning

I headed to Walmart this morning with the kids (yes, on a busy Saturday). We have a birthday party later today, and well, there's nothing like waiting until the last minute for gift shopping. Anyway, I used the last my Mentos Gum coupons that expire this month and picked up some tape and free Kashi.

7 Mentos Gum $1.28 each - (7) $1.00 newspaper coupons = $1.96

Tape $.97

Kashsi Entree - Free Entree mailed coupon = Free

Total OOP for my stuff = $3.01.

I also picked up some sidewalk chalk for the birthday gift bag (recycled...read:from my stash at home). The chalk was from the 75% Easter pile, so it was only $.50!! And some Hallmark cards are 50%, I unknowingly picked out a $.44 card. Yay me! Overall, at Walmart I saved $12.22 today.

On a side note, I looked at Walmart for the Sagento Salad Finishers (to use the $1.00 coupon and mail in rebate) but didn't find them. I've also looked at Super Target and Kroger. No luck at either one of those. Anyone know where these can be found?

Another side note, I'll get $.22 back on my PayPal card for using my PayPal MasterCard. My PayPal MasterCard is solely funded by eBay sales (and a few rebates and surveys here and there). The 1% rebate shows up as soon as the transaction (Walmart in this example) clears my PayPal account. :)

Shopping Is Fun Again, At Least At CVS It Is!

This week felt like the old days at CVS, well a little a least. Here's what I came home with:

Transaction #1

4 Pringles ($.88 each) $3.52
Skintimate Shave Cream $3.49
Colgate $2.99
2 Revlon Nail Colors (B1G1 Free) $4.99

minus

(2) $1.00/1 Pringles coupon from the P&G mailed packet (they were burning holes in my pockets!)
$1.00/2 P&G newspaper coupon
$1.00 Colgate coupon
(2) $2.00 Revlon coupons
$2.00 CVS/Revlon coupon from the magic coupon machine
$2.99 in ECB
$1.00 in ECB (winter spending)

Total OOP = $1.00 and I got back $5.49 in ECB ($3.49 for the Skintimate and $2.00 for the Colgate)

I would loved have to have stopped here, with a nice little $.50 profit, but thought I'd better stock up on Pull-Ups again while they were cheap, and I could make some ECB while doing it.

Transaction #2

2 Pull-Ups $20.00
2 Johnson's lotions $6.00

minus

(2) $2.00 Pull-Ups newspaper coupons
(2) $1.00 Johnson's newspaper coupons
$5.49 in ECB from transaction #1

Total OOP = $15.83 and I got back $10.00 in ECB for the baby stuff.

Overall, I spent $16.83 out of pocket, and I saved a total of $44.27 over both transactions.

I always like to take the math a but further, in order to make this all sound way cheaper. Let's give that a shot. Since I started with $3.99 in ECB and ended with $10, I "made" $6.01 in ECB so we'll take that off the total, not to mention the $1.50 rebate from The Caregivers Marketplace for the 2 Pull-Ups. How does $9.32 sound for a total. Ahh....much better!

Also, in transaction #1, the cashier did not price adjust the coupons. So, I had a $1.01 overage on the Revlon which helped pay for the rest of the transaction. I had figured transaction #1 at about $2.50 out of pocket. Yay, overages!

P.S. The magic coupon spit out a $15/75 CVS coupon. Wonder if I'm up to the challenge?

Shopping Kroger's Mega Event-March 6

I know, I know! This was 2 days ago. It's been another warm (80's) week here in Texas and I have been enjoying the weather, forcing the kids outside, etc! Here's how I did on a brief trip to Kroger on Friday:

I spent $32.23 and saved $41.86. I really didn't need anything but fruit and eggs (I forgot the eggs!), but took advantage of the frozen fish and chicken on sale. Here's a few highlights:

If you purchase 10 Mega Event Items you save $5 or $.50 per item.

Gorton's Fish Sticks, on sale $2.99 - $.50 Mega Savings - $.40 newspaper coupon doubled = $1.69 and I used a $.55 coupon for the second box = $1.94

Tyson 29 oz bagged chicken, on sale $4.99 - $.50 Mega Savings - $1.00 mailed Tyson cpn (from Kroger a few months back) = $3.49

Toaster Strudel, on sale $1.99 - $.50 Cellfire eCoupon - $.50 Mega Event = $.99 OR instead of the eCoupon use a $.35 printable coupon from my coupon bar on the left (tripled) = $.44

Tuna Helper, on sale $1.00 - $.50 Cellfire eCoupon = $.50

Arm & Hammer detergent (look for the bottle with the most loads per bottle, they varied by a least 10-15 loads!), on sale $3.99 - $1.00 Arm & Hammer printable coupon = $2.99

Frozen Pizza (as a treat!) on sale $4.49 - $.50 Mega Event - $1.00 newspaper coupon = $2.99

Grapes are on sale for $.88 a pound, bananas on sale for $.54 a pound (they are usually $.57, so that's not huge!).

FYI-Shortscuts eCoupons may be stacked with paper coupons but NOT the Cellfire coupons!

Don't forget the Gorton's calender/coupon offer. These were the last 2 Gorton's products I needed for the offer. Now we just need to eat lots of fish so I can get the UPC's. Have any great grocery steals to share??? Leave a comment or drop me an e-mail.

My Weekly Trip To Kroger-Feb 26

After getting 2 more booklets of Kroger coupons on Wednesday, I figured I needed to make a Kroger trip. I hope you received coupons in the mail as well!! Pictured is what I purchased and I'll cover some highlights.

3 Bags of Kroger Chips, on sale $1.00 each - $1.00/3 Kroger coupon = $.67 each

Kroger 8 oz. Cheese 3/$5

Milk $1.99

Sour Cream 16 oz., on sale $1.00 each - $.45/2 Kroger coupon = $.77 each

Fiber One Yogurt, on sale 2/$4 - (2) $1.00 Peelies found on yogurt - $1.00 Shortcuts eCoupon - $1.00 off any yogurt 4 pack Kroger store coupon = both were FREE

Kroger Brand Creamer, larger size (it's actually really good!) $2.29 - .55 Kroger creamer cpn = $1.74

Also, Kroger peanut butter is $1.29 everyday and is also really good! I got some last week and we love it. Peter Pan was on sale this week, but I have no coupon. :(

I used the last of my $.50/1 Cottonelle coupons last week. All I have now are $.50/2. Cottonelle is $1.19 each, after doubling the coupon and taking off the $.25 Cellfire eCoupon = $.56 each. Okay, so they weren't dirt cheap like usual, but I'll take it!

Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, on sale $1.00 - $.30 newspaper cpn tripled = $.10 each

My store was out of the $1.00 Pillsbury Crescent rolls. What a bummer since I have 10 coupons. I'll try again when I'm close to Kroger. Total OOP for the trip was $22.05 and I saved $ 20.73.

Have a great day! :)

My Catalina Earning Kroger Trip!

I saved $42.43 on this trip to Kroger. I spent $10.12 OOP and got back a $3.50 catalina or "oyno". Read my Kroger catalina post here. So, using my "Wylie Mom Math", that makes this a $6.62 trip to the store. :)

I got the Clorox, Kid Essentials, and Fiber One Bars for FREE!!! The Dial should have been free, but the coupon didn't multiple at all. Darn it, if I didn't have to pay $.54 for hand soap! Haha.

Remember to print your $.50 Cottenelle coupon, when doubled you have $.19 TP!!

I also went to Target and spent $11 on a gift card and saved $10.00.

Coupons From Kroger In The Mail

As if I needed another reason to love Kroger, look what came in the mail today.....

Coupons!!!!

My favorite one is for a FREE box of Fiber One Bars. The coupons are personalized just for me, so many are for things I frequently get at Kroger. A few are totally random. Keep an eye out for your envelope if you're a Kroger shopper.

What a sweet Valentine's treat for me!

Lots Of New Samples To Request

Wow, I've been a slacker when it comes to free samples this week. Here's what I've just requested to get caught up.

Cream of Wheat sample with 4 flavors to pick from. Yummy!

Quaker Oats rice and multigrain sample, pick from Chocolately Drizzle or Cheddar Cheese.

Head and Shoulders sample from P&G brand Sampler.

BOOST® Kid Essentials Nutritionally Complete Drink sample, a coupon will be mailed.

Hansen's Organic Junior Water 4 pack for free, again a coupon will be mailed.

Free sample of Nutrish Premium Dog Food by Rachael Ray.

On another note, I also went grocery shopping this afternoon. I spent $16.81 at Albertsons and saved $35.40!!! At Kroger I spent $29.58 (eek!) and saved $19.58. I also got to add $12.12 towards my P&G coupon offer, I'm still $24 shy of my $50 since I've sent so many receipts off with rebates. :)

I'll have my weekly wrap-up in the morning! Good night!
