Freebies isn't all about toothpaste and shampoo. It seems no one can say no to the freebie bandwagon, and now the fine arts have jumped on board! Yay!Theatre Communications Group, a national organization for America's not-for-profit professional theatres, is hosting the 5th "Free Night Of Theater". It kicks off nationally on October 15th, 2009. Over 120 cities are participating coast to coast. Plus, some cites are offering a free night at the theater all month. You could maybe go tonight!

Check out the Free Night of Theater homepage for more details in your area. For the Dallas list, click here. Here in Dallas there are lots of very cool shows still available. For example, Junie B Jones, Harvey, Sleepy Hollow-The Musical, Rabbit Hole, Harvey (in Garland), etc...
This would be a wonderful opportunity to take your kids to the theater for the first time. That's sort of the idea behind the whole thing, to let someone who's never experienced the theater before, have a chance. Or, a great date night idea...no one has to know it was free!
