This Saturday, December 5th is going to be a fun filled day here in Wylie, Texas! The City of Wylie and the Public Arts Advisory Board are hosting the Wylie Arts Festival.
The fun starts at 10am with the Wylie Arts Festival in Olde City Park. You can shop for fine art and handmade crafts, listen to the sounds of the season, watch holiday cooking demonstrations, and enjoy festive foods. There will also be a children's area!
At 5:30 pm the Festival Of Lights Christmas Parade (sponsored by First Baptist Wylie) will head through downtown Wylie, down Ballard Street, between Jefferson St. and Oak St.
Finally, finish off the day with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7:30pm in Olde City Park. There will be pictures with Santa, Mayor Hougue with read The Night Before Christmas and there will be choirs and carolers. All the festivities will wrap up at 8pm.

It all sounds fun! Allen is having a holiday parade on Sunday and I don't think Parker (which is where we are) is doing anything. We're schedule to be at a softball tournament in White Settlement all weekend so guess we'll miss all the fun!
