My Cloudy Day Kroger Trip - March 23

No, I'm not grumpy. It's overcast outside and very windy! Sorry, no picture of the Kroger trip, it was the same old stuff. This is wrapping up the second week week of the Mega Event at Kroger. I used all my "good" coupons last week. Today I just got a few things and some staples. I figure I'll hit the stores again Thursday or Friday.

Today's highlights:

Whisker Lickin's cat treats - $.49 (after $.50 Mega Event savings) - $.50/2 coupon doubled = $.01 profit each

3 Musketeers "minis" bag - $2.00 - $.50 coupon doubled = $1.00 each, I'm stashing these for Easter.

Betty Crocker Fruit Stackers - $1.49 (Mega Event price) - $.50 Stackers coupon doubled = $.49 each

I also picked up 4 cans of the 4 count Pillsbury crescent rolls (very tiny cans). They were regular price, $1.39, and I used (4) $.35 coupons that were tripled. So each can was $.34, or I spent $1.36 on all 4. But....there was also a hang tag stating if I purchased 3 participating Pillsbury items I would get a $1.50 oyno coupon or "catalina". That's a $.14 profit on the crescent rolls. Here's the problem. The coupon machine was broken (and had been for days!). So when I got home, I called customer service and they credited my Kroger card $2.00. Yay! Make that a $.64 profit on those tiny cans of crescent rolls.

I spent $28.39 OOP, saved $30.62 and have $2.00 waiting on my Kroger Card.

Speaking of Kroger Cards, you do load the eCoupons before you shop right?
