Not Leaving Town For Spring Break? Think Like A Tourist!

It's Spring Break here in North Texas. The weather has been absolutely perfect. Clear, breezy and in the upper 70's. After TONS on rain last week, trees and flowers are budding out everywhere you look. So, needless to say, we've been busy. Mostly playing outside, and I've done quite a bit of "spring cleaning". Anyway, our big adventure of the week was a trip to the Dallas Arboretum. We were thinking like tourists....

I've never been to the arboretum in the spring. Wow!! Was it so beautiful to look at and smell. :)

It seems like most of Dallas was thinking like a tourist as well. The arboretum was packed!! Lots of people looked to be taking Easter photos. Anyway, we had to park way out in remote parking and take a shuttle bus to the front. The kids loved it, and it totally added to the adventure. The day before I tried to load the coupon page (several times) with no luck. But, while standing in line, my coupon karma paid off and a very sweet lady handed us a B1G1 Free coupon for Wednesday only. Yay, it was Wednesday.

Once inside we enjoyed our picnic lunch in the grass. It was so lovely, have I mentioned that yet? The kiddos really enjoyed playing in the new Storybook Playhouses. They are on display until the end of the year. It was a nice change for the kids, getting to run free and explore!! Thanks to my sister-in-law and nephews for joining us on our play date adventure. We made some great memories!

Interested in visiting the Dallas Arboretum. Visit their homepage here and the coupon page here. For the coupon page, scroll down and over to the right a bit. Print extras and pass on the coupon love!

Stuck in town? Think like a tourist and visit someplace new or different!!
