I have been wanting to do this, but I just want to be sure it is safe. Especially doing it all online.

Ellen-Yes it's safe!! I've never had any issues. Just keep your info safe and secure and to yourself. I do all my banking online. Bill pay, etc.

I love that it's all online!! My kids have savings there too, so way back when I opened those, they got the $25 bonus too.

Not that it makes me an expert, but I worked at a bank for almost 5 years. :)

My parents (who at first were nervous as well) opened a savings at ING a few years back and love it so much they added the ING checking.

Feel any better?

P.S. Ellen, think of it this way. As far as banking goes, here are a few things I view as far more UNSAFE.

1. Putting a check in the mail
2. Handing a debit/credit card over to a server or cashier
3. Using a debit/credit card to pay a bill (and sticking it in the mail)

Now, I do all of these things on occasion. But I've seen far more fraud on the banking side of things from these. I never once had a customer come to me for online banking fraud. :)
